Plastering costs

How much would you say it would cost to skim a medium sized room - four walls and ceiling. The ceiling and some parts also require boarding first.

I have had one quote which I think is probably about right - have someone else lined up to quote but I need to make a decision to get it done asap.

Thanks

Whereabouts in the UK are you? Where I am that would probably be around £600ish I think.

We've just had a quote, 2 medium sized rooms with some boarding, a ceiling and a hallway skimmed and it's about 1100. We're South West.

£300-£400 depending on definition of medium. I always think plasterers are cheap compared to other trades and good ones are absolute artists in my opinion! I'm Midlands.

jakeyboy1 · 02/12/2020 22:44

Sorry just seen boarding maybe nearer £500 then

DiesalFive · 03/12/2020 06:07

Around 400-500 if it's being boarded too. West Midlands here.

He won't be boarding a ceiling alone so it will be 2 wages for the first day, might finish on his own the 2nd day
I would say around 600

Thanks for all replies.

I say a medium room- it's probably on the larger side for a bedroom - it will take about 1.5 days - and yes, more than one labourer.

I think it's about the right price.
