We’re potentially looking at having a rear extension added to our property but we’re trying to understand a rough cost before we start paying through the nose on fees and waste builders time.
We already have an extension 3x4 and we would like to increase it to 3x7. The total change will be 9msq. We will need a new roof to cover the entire extension. Judging by what Iv read on here 2k per sqm seems reasonable for the north west. On top of that an architect who we spoke to says we will need a steel goal post to support the load bearing wall when we make it open plan. The beam will be 7meters. Does anybody have any idea how much the 7m steel goalpost would roughly be? Also a rough cost of a single extension roof totalling 21msq.
