How to get rid of flies ON my house?

Hi, we have noticed that there are flies on my outside walls - a cluster of them. They’re not in the house at all, but think it’s weird that they’re just hanging out on my wall and windows at the back of the house!

Anyone experienced this before?

Thanks.

I had this a couple of years ago. Some of them managed to get in and I had about 10 everyday inside on the window above where there were hundreds on the wall outside. Google cluster flies.. they breed in mortar on walls. I literally just sprayed them all with fly killer spray! Not had the problem since.

They usually cluster on warm surfaces like sunny walls or slate roofs. They won't survive the winter outside. If they aren't getting in your house I would leave them alone. They provide food for insectivorous birds like pied wagtails.
