DH and I think that our best bit of underused space in our house is our rickety, leaky old garage (2ft 6 by about 5ft 5 currently) and we're wondering about building a half shed/half office space instead. We think we'd probably need planning permission as it is close to a boundary, although the neighbours are up hill so it shouldn't affect their light. Although it is currently on concrete, that concrete is pretty dodgy and we wondered if proper foundations would be better.
Anyone been there and done that or have any tips about where I should start? I'm not even sure which tradesmen I need or if I need to contact architects? It was all much easier on the SIMS! Thank you in advance
