Wall plastered half way up

I was wondering wondering if anyone could help with this...

We've had our fireplace redone and the workmen plastered around it so the plaster sort of finishes half way up the wall. We need to paint it and today we tried to sand down the wall. It's reasonably smooth, but there is an ever so slight ridge where the plaster finishes, I'm talking 1mm or so.

Is it going to be really obvious when we paint it? Apart from replastering the while wall, is there anything we can do? Keep sanding the shit out of it?

Yep keep sanding or get some drywall filler ( the stuff they fill the joints on plasterboard with ) and blend it in , it’s really easy to use and sands easy.
