Hi there!

I'm super keen on getting Herringbone laminate flooring in my house. Can anyone please recommend any that is easy to keep clean, looks good and is good for a busy family with young kids!

Thank you!

I don't know about laminate but you can get herringbone LVT, luxury vinyl tiles, such as Karndean.

Is Herringbone laminate a thing? I haven't seen it..

I have had laminate, engineered wood and Amtico/Karndean floors in the past 3 properties. Hands down I would get the Amtica/Karndean floors again for heavily used areas like kitchens and dining areas. I simply doesn't get damaged even with family, pets and hard use.

The engineered wood was beautiful but damaged easily. We had a party once and it was pot marked afterwards with shoe marks, scuffs. I was so upset.

The laminate was pretty indestructible but wasn't as nice to look at as engineered wood or Karndeal/Amtico. It also felt a bit "bouncy" despite being fitted by a top fitter twice because I felt it was the original fitting first time.

We have Amtico (laid end-to-end rather than herringbone) and it’s very durable. We’ve had it for 3 years and it still looks as good as it did the day it was laid, despite having 3 small kids riding toys on it, chucking stuff on it and generally having no respect for it!

I have just had this put down in my new house and I love it (thank bloody goodness - i have a very chequered history with floors and have made some expensive mistakes). Despite trailing mud in from the building site outside and numerous workman it only needs a quick brush. It is parador laminate trendtime 3 ( which is the herringbone range) mine is pearl grey.

Thank you New, I too would have like engineered but had found it pock marked and not in a nice way even when in a bedroom. I almost went for the vinyl there are lots of advangages, and was also lovely so that op and maybe a good choice in a busy household.
