Ceiling Hood / Extractor

Hi!

We're in the process of getting a new kitchen. We're having an island with an induction hob. I'd prefer to have a ceiling hood / extractor fan and then have some pendant lighting.

Can anyone please recommend a decent, quiet (ish) hood. Even better if it isn't £££!

Thank you so much!

What is there already? Building Regulations can sometimes kick in.

A hood generally needs venting to somewhere....do you have the pipework to vent outside?

If you currently have a non-vented hood than you can replace like for like, I think.

Just been through this ourselves and the kitchen people at 3 places were surprisingly rubbish re regulations....it is worth reading up yourself.

We were relocating a kitchen and needed building regs sign off re new door so we had to be careful. As it was, we got Building Regs people them round and pleaded nicely and they gave us special dispensation to ignore the regulations because of other mitigating factors.

I bought Luxair celing hood. Seems good quality and not as expensive as the Neff or Siemens one.
