So myself and my husband have finally sold our first home...it took us since June and has been a stressful journey as we refused an early offer as it was 15 grand below what the house was valued at and then we had no more interest until we changed to another estate agent as our contract had ended...when we had the first offer we had found a brand new house but lost out due to us rejecting the offer and it went to whoever sold first...now we're finding it stressful and a worry that we won't find another home...anyone had any experience like this?? Did u finally find ur perfect home?? Thanks

It is stressful and worrying - but, rest assured, you will find another home that will be right for you. It's important to be focused as to what type of house you want and the area you want to live in. Lists are helpful, things that are essential and things that are desirable. We moved last year - we sold quickly and were moving to a new area to be nearer our daughter. We did lots of drive arounds of the various areas we were interested in, then focused on one particular area and looked at the relevant properties from the outside. In the end we viewed one property which seemed perfect for us apart from the fact that it's on a main road! That was our compromise! We sold large rambling semi-detached cottage with huge garden but no garage - we bought spacious detached house with a lovely small walled garden and garage. Also gained an en-suite, much better appointed kitchen, en-suite and downstairs cloakroom. So I would suggest trying to focus on what exactly you want. Your new house will be out there!!!!
