Replacing conservatory with extension

Hoping at some point to replace our dated conservatory with a proper extension on the same footprint to create extra living space and a little home office area. Anyone done this who could give me a rough idea of cost? TIA Smile

Depends where you are! See other threads on extensions. £1500 to £2500 per cubic metre depending on complexity and location. You will need foundations and architects fees too and maybe structural calcs if you are taking a Load bearing wall out🇦🇱

@PresentingPercy

Thankyou, I am South West. No load bearing wall removal needed, have accounted for architects fees, planning etc, just interested in the rough construction costs Smile

Don’t know where the emoji flag came from!

It’s a bit like asking the length of a piece of string. Things like bifold doors, skates or cheap roof tiles, drainage, quality of bricks/matching existing finishes and electrics and heating can all add to price. A cheap box of a room is obviously - cheaper!

Aah!!! Slates. Not skates.
