What is Ware like to live in?

Anyone any advice on this area? We live in London and have two girls at a CofE primary school which we love. We are worried about secondaries though and thinking of moving somewhere with better options.

It is likely that I'll be able to WFH long term after covid. DH needs to travel to Westminster at least three days a week.

Budget is about 750k and ideally we would want a 4 bed.

We considered relocating to Ware/Hertford a few years ago but for various reasons decided to stay put.
In Ware, I think you want to look at South side of Ware. If you’ve got two girls then Presdales is your obvious choice for secondary. Not sure about catchment, think it might be small so would base your search on that and get as close as possible.
The thing I noticed when looking a few years ago (and might be different now) the better primary schools in Ware were the C of E and Catholic schools and non religious school less so (if you’re looking at Ofsted ratings).
The primaries in Hertford seem to have higher ratings but not sure about secondary schools in Hertford.
Hopefully there will be some posters with more in depth knowledge than my not very scientific research that may well be out of date!

Thank you @threetoone! What made you change your mind about moving to Ware/Hertford in the end, if you don't mind me asking?

@whatwouldyoudo85 nothing really related to area as such.
The move would have been relevant in a specific window and that time passed. Then youngest DC started school where we are and settled really well and we decided being near MIL who is on her own was important too.

@whatwouldyoudo85 just wondering if you made the move in the end? We've recently been looking at this area too.
