What is a management certificate?

Our buyers are waiting for a Management certificate so that their own sale can proceed hence holding up the change.

How long can we expect this to take? Solicitor has chased but no response!

if its the same as mine it was to confirm my service charge was all paid up etc. took about a week

Is it the full management pack? I haven't heard of a management certificate. We are freeholders to a building (and currently selling a flat we are leaseholders of) and we have to fill in a full form with insurance documents, disputes, service charges, ground rents etc.........
