Chester or Hartford?

For anyone living in or the surrounding areas which do you prefer?

We’re house hunting in both areas, Chester has the buzz we’re used to in London but Hartford seems more leafy so assume less traffic?

Both areas have good/outstanding schools and we’d be close to family and friends but wanted real opinions from any locals? Please help

Hartford has lots of traffic now because of the new houses, it's not easy to get out. Chester is really nice lots nice bars, shops and restaurants when lock down is over.

You might want to look at tarporley it's close to Chester and leafy.
