I posted last week and wanted to update the posters that replied to my initial query.
(I had received the drawings back from the Structural engineer. We are planning to remodel the interior of our house. The Structural Engineer had specified RSJs to each wall removed, those running both parallel to and perpendicular to the gable end elevation and I had questioned the need for this)
After discussions with our Architectural Designer and Structural Engineer, it has now become clear that due to the structure of our roof, 5 of the RSJs are now not required.
I am glad I pursued it!
