Mortgage in Principle

I've completed an online application and had a mortgage in principle emailed to me. Is this all I need to progress at this point if I find a property and wish to put in an offer? I'm new to all this and have mistakenly thought i needed to have a mortgage in place before proceeding? What if I have an offer accepted then I am turned down for the mortgage? Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Yes, this can happen unfortunately. As long as you’ve given all the accurate information then hopefully everything will go through smoothly. There’s no guarantees though.
