Kitchens: Howdens Clerkenwell Gloss vs DIY Kitchens Luca Gloss

OH likes that Howdens are local, have many depots in London.
Howdens designer recommended Clerkenwell gloss to have more light reflected in our small north-facing kitchen.
For Clerkenwell gloss they quoted the same price as DIY Kitchens Luca gloss.
However, when he mentioned that Clerkenwell is foil wrapped it casted doubts whether Clerkenwell gloss quality matches DIY Kitchens Luca gloss.
Apart from door thickness (22mm in DIY Luca vs 19 mm Howdens Clerkenwell) would anyone know if otherwise Clerkenwell matches DIY Luca?

Get a sample door from DIY kitchens. Low cost and you'll see exactly what you're comparing

Thank you Loofah01 and isseywith4vampirecats.
I have samples of Luca gloss and they look better than Howdens Clerkenwell gloss samples.
I guess the correct question would be which range of DIY Kitchens is of similar quality to Howdens Clerkenwell or which Howdens range is similar to Luca from DIY Kitchens?
I just want to compare like for like and see if Howdens can match the price to DIY. Otherwise how much we would overpay to Howdens?

i suppose all you can do is google longevity of foil wrapped which the howdens ones are and acrylic wrapped which the DIY ones are as most people will have not looked at both we went to wickes for our first qoute and they were almost £2000 more than DIY and the quality wasnt any where near as good

Thank you isseywith4vampirecats.
I have researched Howdens website and found out that their Hockley Mirror Gloss range is lacquered like DIY's Luca.
We will ask for a quote for Hockley Mirror Gloss and see how it is compared to DIY Luca.

You need to ask howdens - I’ve just had a gloss kitchen put in and I had a choice of three finishes/wraps all in the same colour/range. I’m very pleased with the whole thing. Happy to send photos if you want to see!

Thank you Austereorange. I think it will be difficult for me to tell from photos which range your kitchen is.
Do you happen to know the name of the kitchen range you have got?
Have you got upgraded hinges etc. (Blum)?

Not sure but I know it feels very luxurious and we had top end stuff but didn’t want to pay a fortune as we did the kitchen as a view to selling and ironically now have ; so I’ll be parting with it within a couple of months. But I’d be happy to point out the whole kitchen in a little video or whatever if that helped you as I’m really pleased (no affiliation I promise!!)

We do not plan to sell. Both myself and OH are not young and we got a young child. It is such an inconvenience to redecorate house/replace kitchen with a young child.
So I would like to get a good quality kitchen that would last 15-20 years.
