Anyone have wood flooring with underfloor heating? Do you have a rug?

I’m trying to work out whether we can have a rug in our living room which has engineered wood with wet ufh underneath. I have read there is a risk of the floor overheating (damaging it) or the ufh not being so effective if there is a rug, especially a thick one. But this is all from flooring websites which are bound to be cautious, so I was just after any real life experiences?

Thanks

I have a rug over engineered wood floor with UFH - it works fine, no issues.

However UFH definitely works much better with tiles or stone.

Thank you @Porseb! What sort of rug is it?
