Have ordered some samples but really difficult to see what it could like. Would really appreciate it if anyone has any pics of their flooring?

Here you go.
We had it done in hall, kitchen and downstairs bathroom.
Not sure if I would choose the same pattern again as it always seems slightly grubby

I'm the same. I want a herringbone pattern and have ordered some different flooring samples including karndeen but totally can't imagine how it would look...

SweatyBetty20 · 06/11/2020 22:08

I’m having Polyflor parquet Georgian oak in a herringbone fitted next week - will post a pic if I remember :-)

Oliack1417 · 06/11/2020 22:24

This is karndean, in a blonde oak I think..

I've got karndean currently in all bathrooms, hallway, living area, dining and kitchen. It's absolute crap. It marks and scratches so easily, never looks clean and it has risen in my bathrooms and won't go back down flat as has expanded. Can't wait to move and never have it again!

Tomatoandbasil · 07/11/2020 09:55

We bought the commercial grade Karndean and it is great. It comes with a longer guarantee and is hard wearing.

FakeFlamingo · 07/11/2020 11:24

Here is ours. Excellent flooring, sealed so water bubbles on it. No scratches or wear & tear. Looks fresh after 8 years. Unfortunately I don't know the type as it was installed in the hallway (so lot of footfall) by the previous owner.

This is Karndean Palio Core in the colour Crespina. We've had it in for two months and love it so far!

OP?

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 09/11/2020 16:51

We've got Moduleo too. Much cheaper.

goldierocks · 09/11/2020 18:00

This is my hallway....the Karndean goes through to my kitchen. It's the spanish cherry parquet.

Please be very careful to only get genuine flooring (whether that be Karndean, Amtico or one of the other brands mentioned upthread) and get a qualified fitter.

Unfortunately there are a lot of unscrupulous conmen out there who charge for the real deal, but switch it for an inferior knock-off version. My fitter says his heart sinks whenever a customer tells him what a 'great deal' they got. He says he can instantly tell the fake stuff because the construction is all wrong.

Anyway...I've got both Karndean and Amtico in my house. It's been down almost two years. No marks or scratches at all (I've got a football boot wearing DS and two rescue cats).

Mine's in a skip. Loads of issues with it, Karndean admitted a 'manufacturing error' but refused to deal
with it at all or help in any way - it'd been fitted correctly.

The only way to solve it was to rip it up. So disappointed as I thought it would be amazing.

Dongdingdong · 09/11/2020 19:10

I’d recommend going for real wooden floors OP if you possibly can. More expensive but worth it IMO!

MrDarcysMa · 09/11/2020 20:54

Will post a pic tomorrow but I did a lot of research between amtico and karndean and we went for karndean as their aftercare had much better reviews

ReadySteadyBed · 09/11/2020 21:30

I recently got so many samples of but couldn’t find anything I liked and they all looked so different from online. In the end went for a engineered hard wood which is beautiful.

Tomatoandbasil · 09/11/2020 21:30

@goldierocks I agree! A qualified fitter is important and will be able to give you a Karndean guarantee.
