We're about to go on the market and wanting more space we are currently in a 2 bed 1 reception 1 bathroom house and have 2 children and 2 dogs, how much space do you all have in similar situations and is it enough/more than enough obviously we would like another bedroom but is a 2nd reception room/conservatory/ utility room etc needed too really?

My main request was a playroom downstairs for several reasons, one so I could be relatively close if I was cooking in the kitchen and two so that I didn't have other people's children running up and down the stairs to the bedrooms. It also meant any toys DC's didn't want to share got put into the bedrooms.

I like it when bedrooms are relaxing and peaceful places, not a place for children to play.

The bonus was that when Dh worked from home, he was upstairs in the spare room and the noisy children were downstairs in the playroom, they could leave things set out too, massive train tracks snaking round the room or HexBugs track.
