Anyone got a loft conversion on busy-ish road?

I'm just wondering what the traffic noise levels are like - better/worse that the bedroom(s) on the first floor that face the road?

Ours isn't a loft conversion, but a second storey that was always there. It has a velux window, out to the road.
Noise is the same as on the first floor. Well, except in heavy rain, when it is noiseier becaus of the angle of the window.. Traffic / people / helicoptor noise however is the same.
