Hiring skip during lockdown

Very boring question but can't find the answer!

Can we hire skips during lockdown? Can't bear to do lots of tip runs in the next 3 days prior to a house move end of November (fx'd!)

Same! Waiting for dates to be confirmed.

Half of my street have hired skips since March.

StanfordPines · 01/11/2020 08:33

Round here you could. During the first lock down one guy I know who delivers skips said he’d never been so busy.

Onmyown1 · 01/11/2020 08:33

I hired a skip in April. They were very busy so had to wait a week or so.

SpeckledyHen · 01/11/2020 08:34

We had skips during the spring lockdown.

SecretOfChange · 01/11/2020 08:34

We hired two skips 2 months ago and are still waiting Confused

SecretOfChange · 01/11/2020 08:37

I mean there are delays with various things at the moment (skips is something we have delays with, amongst other things) so I'd say do it asap and just hope it'll be OK. There's nothing to indicate right now that it will be against restrictions.

I hired a skip in may or June. Came straight away and the let us keep it a week.

Maybenexttime08 · 01/11/2020 08:38

Thanks - sounds hopeful!

We had two during the earlier lockdown. They leave them on the drive and post the paperwork through the letterbox. No need to actually have contact with anyone.

Yes you can. I had 3 the last lockdown and lots of people are for this one. You can pay online or over the phone so there is no contact. It's a brilliant way to make use of the time and I love a skip!
