Renovating during new November lockdown?

Anyone else going to be trying to renovate during this new lockdown? Just got into the house, ripped the kitchen out today.

On Thursday the electrician comes for the rewire, and the heating people are coming to cap off the gas heater and disconnect the radiators...I hope!

We had the refit of our bathroom started yesterday and the fitter has no problem being here, he's upstairs, we are down and keeping right out of the way. As long as social distancing is observed, it's all ok.

Slightly grump as he hasn't reconnected the toilet to the waste, so it's not useable and we don't have any others, apart from a porta loo we hired for using during the day. He's going to be asked to connect it up to the waste before he goes today.

Let's just say, the morning "evacuation" at 4:30am was not a pleasant one in 8 degree temperatures sat in a plastic box in the front garden!!!!

Never again!!! EnvyEnvyEnvy

It's all going well here so far and all the tradespeople are keeping going. I did have a hiccough with not being able to get a plasterer, but the lovely kitchen fitter has found one for me.

I took the tiles off the wall in the kitchen over the weekend and only dinged the plaster in a few places. I've got people coming in to strip the wallpaper today and tomorrow, and a builder putting in a new lintel and extra air bricks, so I should soon have an idea about how bad the rest of the plaster is.
