How long to wait for a quote to come back?

Have got 3 quotes so far which vary wildly despite the work spec being the same so thought I’d seek another but have waited two weeks so far for his quote to come back. The others quoted within 2-3 days and have been patiently waiting my response. Do I keep waiting or go with one of the others? I have nudged him and I guess it’s a good sign he’s busy?

Why would you go with someone who can’t even get back to you in something so basic? Go with somebody who actually cares about your business.

Thank you-Well that’s what I was asking-what is the normal turnaround for a quote? I’m guessing as I thought, that 2 weeks is longer than you’d wait?

I hired someone recently who had glowing reviews and was highly rated and answered emails very efficiently within 20mins in all cases ( even out of hours which I wasn't expecting ) she's booked up until December so I've booked a January, week long, appointment (she's a concept planner so is designing my kitchen lounge and dining area so we can shop around and compare shops prices easily) she's so obviously efficient that I have no qualms waiting for my appointment as I can see it's worth the wait. If I was still waiting for her to come back to me two weeks after getting in touch, I'd assume she isn't didn't care about my job. Not a good way to run a business. Personally I'd avoid someone who didn't care about potential clients.

Thanks ladies-good to know my expectations weren’t unrealistic-first time renovating!

Have they replied to you at all?
Just making sure your email hasn't gone to spam and the lack of reply is more due to not seeing your email.

But yes agreed, if they've seen your email or have replied saying they'd provide one for x date, and you've nudged them as a small reminder and nothing. It does make me wonder what they'd be like once they had the business.
