Anyone added a bay window?

Just that really.

We are buying a 1930s semi that has a bay window in the front but only upstairs and tbh it looks weird.

I want to add a bay window in the bottom underneath to make it match.

Understand I need planning permission, has anyone ever gone through this? I don't know if it's worth the hassle but it would make the house much more attractive.

If you do the diagrams yourself then it's just the planning fee, so about £300. Worth a go for that price. I did it recently to change a flat roof over a bay to pitched one. But I do have access to some basic drawing software through work to do the scale diagrams.
