Paint peeling after just 1 month - should I ask the decorator to come back?

I recently had the outside of my house (window frames and masonry) repainted. It clearly hadn’t been touched for a long while and was looking very tired, so was definitely overdue!

The job was finished about a month ago and yesterday, I noticed some of the paint is already flaking off one of the wooden window frames. It’s only a small patch but is instantly noticeable when looking at the window from outside.

Should I ask the decorator to come back and redo it, or is this something I just need to live with? As I say, it’s only a small patch but it’s a bit disheartening to see paint flaking off so soon.

I know people will probably suggest doing it myself, but it’s in a hard to reach place on the upstairs window - you’d need to use a big ladder to get to it. Plus I’m rubbish at painting and have a new baby to contend with!

What would you do? Any advice would be most welcome.

Get them back. Probably needs sanding down and done again.

Get them back ASAP: you don’t want it to get worse and 1 month means they didn’t do it properly first time
