Moving to Lichfield

Hello,

I’m moving to Lichfield soon- Nether Beacon area- and wondered if anyone could shed light on the immediate area for me. I have a DS and we can choose private school if we aren’t happy with the local state primary. But if anyone does have information on the local primary that too would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance Smile

Don't know that area of Lichfield.

But Lichfield is a really lovely area.

Bumping for you.
I'm from stafford and know Lichfield quite well and think it's a lovely town to live in - pre COVID I'd go there for the seasalt shop and the big Waitrose among other attractions

Sorry I don't know much about primary school

Thank you both for your replies. They’re greatly appreciated.

I live in a village just north of Lichfield. There is only one small area in the City that is suspect, that is The Dimbles. The rest of Lichfield is lovely, but there are lots of new housing developments.

All the schools have a good reputation. There is a new Primary School at Streethay.Cannot comment on individual schools.

I have lived here 18 years and love it,you will be happy I am sure.Good luck.

Thank you. I’m looking forward to the new move even more now!

No info on the primaries but I lived in the dimbles and still have family there now, it isn't that bad! Lichfield itself is a lovely town centre and beacon park is nice. The cathedral part is lovely I think.

Sorry reading that back it looked like I was being defensive to the pp who said the dimbles was suspect, I really wasn't! Just that every area has it's nice areas and more "rough areas" but there are worse places to live

Thanks for your reply. Such positive things are being said about Lichfield. It’s wonderful to hear!

I asked my teacher friend and St Michaels and 5 Spires are great choices (not sure how close to you?).

My family and ex are from The Dimbles. I'd be happy to live there as I love Lichfield and even its so called "rough" areas are far nicer than my ladt estate!
