Hanging mirrors/pictures above a radiator.

I have so many mirrors & pictures displayed against the wall, on the floor Hmm because I am too scared to put them up.

I would like to put some above the radiators around the house, but I am aware there will be pipes behind there. I believe they will be plastic pipes, so I can't use a detector?

It's plasterboard I presume, as it's a new build and the walls sound as hollow as a cardboard box when I wallop knock them.

I have no drill, just loads of the pictured fixings.

Should I just hit & hope?

Pipes go from the floor up. You’re thinking of electrics.

I'd get a handyman in to be on the safe side. Hopefully they'll have more idea. I am happy to bang a nail in but you never know if it becomes problematic (if you know what I mean) Smile

I asked the heating engineer if I could do it, when he came to service the boiler, he said just be careful & they usually run straight from the middle, and I should be able to see from looking behind the bottom of the radiator, where they lay, Im still not confident though.

I might get someone in, I need mirrored sliding wardrobe doors put together and put on, (I managed to make the frame of it) lights installed in the garden, kitchen kick boards trimmed horizontally, due to a new floor and other stuff.

I need someone for about two days I think!

The engineer is talking nonsense, the pipes do not run up the walls. That's why you need a pump.

Thank you all, I have just thought we have concrete flooring downstairs, I wonder if this is why he said it?

Anyway I don't have a clue, Im sad to say, so I will get someone in.

If your worried why don't you put them up with some command strips? I can't get nails in my wall as solid stone so tried command strips and now everything goes up with them
