Grey window frames, coloured front door?

We are coverting our current home into 2 smaller houses. My dh wants to put grey window frames on the houses and coloured front doors. Will coloured front doors (blue for example) look weird with grey window frames and presumably a grey door frame? I can't visualise it at all and I can't find any photos of coloured front doors with grey frames. They all seem to have grey front doors.

I've seen a house recently with grey window frames and a red front door which looks really nice.

You should be able to get the door surround the same colour as the door.

We have and I really like it as it makes the door look bigger

There are 5 new builds I drive by every day and they all have grey windows with different colour front doors , but they have white door frames and it looks shite. Stands out a mile

It can work I think.

We have grey windows and wood effect door, looks great to me :) Grey goes with everything but grey doors with grey windows just looked a bit flat and naff to me

I have grey windows and a yellow front door.

I don’t like the grey trend and I believe it will date very very quickly. It’s each to their own. If you like it, go for it.

Deep purple front doors are gorgeous.

Grey has been around for years but only on expensive aluminium windows and a lot of businesses have them. It’s only recently become affordable in UPVC , so that’s why you see more of them nowdays.

I think grey looks good on the right property, it suits modern houses better than older ones. I’ve seen it on 30’s and Victorian houses and i don’t think in looks right.
I don’t think any colour ages it’s all down to personal taste.

The trouble with grey frames is that it can look like an undercoat. I wouldn’t.

I have grey windows and a yellow front door.
That's what I want. I've always wanted a yellow front door!

That's ok. We'll have moved on well before it dates.
