Has anyone sold a house with a single skin double story extensions

Just that really, about to put ours in the market and it has a single skin, two storey extension. The rules have changed since we bought it and now it is far harder to get a mortgage on a property like this. Just wondering if anyone has been successful and can give me some hope/advice!

Well I live in one - the extension is 70s block work (thermoblocks?) - bought seven years ago and it wasn't even picked up in the full survey or valuation so watching with interest in case this is now seen as a problem...

Unfortunately it's definitely seen as a problem, many lenders are no longer allowing mortgages on these properties. We bought ours 8 years ago and it wasn't too much of a problem then but I think only Halifax would let us take a mortgage out on it. It's going on the market next week so I'll let you know how it goes Confused
