Viewing Houses, finding it hard to keep motivated.

Viewed my 14th house today, as ever it ended In disappointment, it is starting to get to me a bit, me and DS are renting in cramped flat which was only supposed to be for a few months, here over a year due to Covid and the endless supply of overpriced crap property in our area.
I think we are up against it due to the fact want a decent size garden in ok area- DS dreams of a garden where he can play.
Today I parked up early outside the property I was viewing and witnessed would looked suspiciously like the NDN having a visit from his drug dealer, and when I got in the property I tripped and fell going upstairs , the stairs were ridiculously steep.
I was proceeding with a purchase earlier this year, but the surveyor report showed subsidence.
Does anyone else have viewing fatigue?

If you're not able to find the property you want, in the location you want in your budget then one of those three things is going to have to give unfortunately.

It does sound like you might need to compromise a little.

DH aren’t great at compromise so whenever we bought, we always went round tons of properties and struggled to get it just right. It was down to pickiness rather than budget, though.

I have started to cast my net wider in the last couple of months , but it’s not been the magic bullet I hoped for, perhaps I need to more patient.
Thinking I should ask the EA more questions before viewings which may eliminate some none starters.

I feel you – lots of overpriced properties in my area and only a few that have the appeal. I've seen a dozen so far, and it is a tiring process. However keep it up, as I'll keep it up too!

Will do @meistar. Good Luck with your quest!

One has popped up on RM tonight, maybe 15th time lucky...

We've viewed nine properties so far and only like one really and even then we aren't quite sure

It would help if estate agents could get their facts right. We viewed one two weeks ago that said it had a driveway, turned out to be shared. Viewed another Saturday with off street parking, get there to be told it's actually on street parking

Our own house has had half the viewings cancelled and half of the viewers that turned up said the garden is too small for them. Bloody estate agents using wide angle lenses make buyers expect everything to be much larger

I guess we are lucky as in we don't have to move but we would like to before DD starts school

How on earth did you gauge the next door neighbour was having a visit from a drug dealer?

I’ve been a victim of the wide angle lense shots of gardens, I wish they would give the area measurements for gardens like they do for rooms on the floor plan. One garden looked so much smaller IRL I though they must have photoshopped it, the EA showing me round even looked embarrassed!

Ah @mountains76 thought I would be pulled up on that!
A very flash car pulled outside the NDN house, and a young scally jumped out the passenger side ,knocked on NDN door, there was some slight of hand and within 30 secs he was back in the car and away.
