How long for survey report?

As title really, how long after your survey did you get the report? We had a home buyers survey done at the beginning of the week. I know loads of surveyors are really busy atm, but I'm wondering whether to start chasing for the report.

10 days for us. (working days).

Did the surveyor not give you a timescale? Based on our sale and purchase currently, I would say about a week.

Ever so sorry, DH is still typing away upstairs trying to get all his surveys done by the end of the week. He had a quick break for dinner but has returned to his office and his typing to work until at least 2100. He starts at 0700. We hardly see him. He works for a large national company who believe in getting their pound of flesh. Too few staff, too many surveys!

Got a verbal overview on the same day, actual report came in four days.

4 days for the one on our house..

It’s only Thursday! I would give it at least a week.

what did they say re time

The RICS system is down today apparently so reports can’t be uploaded, or something... (also waiting. Ours was done last Friday, should’ve been with us yesterday but now tomorrow due to the RICS issue).

It is down today. Our report is done but can’t be published. It’s due tomorrow now!

Ours was carried out last Thursday and we received it today, so 5 working days for us

Thanks all. Looking at the response, I'll send a friendly email tomorrow asking when I can expect it. Verbally he said "a few days".

@LooseMooseHoose Oh God, I'm so sorry! I'm utterly sick of the hours he is working and had a rant in the wrong place. You are absolutely right to expect a survey within a few days as you are paying a lot of money for it. I hope it arrives soon. Sorry again.
