We have PoA for my Mil she was in a nursing home. Today at 11am we signed the contract for the sale of her bungalow.
Unfortunately at 6.30 she had a heart attack in the home and died. We only spoke to her at 10 this morning and she was laughing.
Will it put a stop on the sale does anyone know. The lady buying the bungalow needs to be in next week.
I know we have to contact our solicitor in the morning.

Sorry for your loss. Unfortunately it will hold up the sale until the estate is finalised. Do you know if she had a will?

We sold my dad's house before probate because we had PoA and th3 solicitors could sort it out.

Just to update my thread.
My solicitor spoke to a judge who has allowed the exchange to take place as it would interfere with the chain of sale. (5 households)
All monies are then put forward for probate.
