We are having Karndean fitted at the end if the week. I have 2 questions.
How soon after fitting can you put your furniture back in?
Can you put rugs on it? I have read they need to be latex backed but the one I have got my eye on isn't.
Any advise would be welcome.

We put our furniture back on as soon as it was finished being fitted. In fact we never took the sofa out the room, just moved it from one side to the other as they completed the floor.

Rugs will be slippy but you can buy a non slip sheet to go under rugs and you just cut it to shape. I got ours from amazon.

I had some put down a few months back. There are various ways of laying karndean; different types of glue. The type we had needed the heat method, and was completely stable for furniture, walking on etc within a couple of hours. Love it.

They will probably try to sell you a cleaning kit specific to the brand, either buy it from Amazon, use something like flash cleaning gel in a bucket of water & a damp mop or a steam cleaner.

Agree with @Nat6999. Have never cleaned any of my karndean with anything more special than a bit of flash and it’s never been an issue. The oldest karndean in our house is >15 years and looks as new...which is a problem because I don’t like it and can’t justify taking it up!

A bit annoying as we have two rooms being done together - a joint living room dining room and have been told we have to remove all furniture for two days. Hopefully , by your replies, I might be able to get it back in the second day.
Thank you I will look at Amazon for latex backing.
As far as I can see your guarantee isn't valid if you don't use the proper cleaner, but I'm thinking this might be a bit of a con.
Ha ha, that will be me in years to come, desperately trying to mark it to justify replacing it.

We had karndean in our last house and really liked it- one thing I would suggest is buying foam pads to put on the legs of all your furniture before you replace it, heavy items will dent karndean eventually but we found using these prevented it

Ok. Thank you. I will order those as well.
