That sounds like a really long time! We applied for a mortgage with Nationwide at the start of September and it was approved last Friday. Has your broker given you any indication of what is taking so long?

Yes I had a baby 🙄.... they have my return to work letter, all my wage slips etc but when they ask 1 questions they wait 2 weeks to respond and then ask another question witch is another 2 weeks to respond and they don’t seem to understand the urgency that we get a wiggle on 🙄 And I’m putting down 52% of the ltv.... yours sounds a normal time a couple of weeks congrats your done! I hope ours is soon 🤞

Oh god. We aren’t going with Nationwide but I’ve had a baby too & I’m dreading it deleting the mortgage 😫 I’m due back in December so my maternity leave actually affects my current mortgage more than it will the new one..

Keep pushing. I contact our broker constantly. I think they hate me. 😂

Yes! We are having problems just getting a bloody valuation! They’ve changed the date 4 times... 3 weeks after paying we still haven’t had one.

Having a baby has definitely delayed my mortgage and I’m back at work now! I never used a broker just stuck with nationwide as was already with them so we thought it would be quick 🤦🏼‍♀️.
@Shadowboy nationwide did a drive by valuation on the house I’m purchasing they didn’t even go in!
