Microcrete/microcement/concrete-effect tiles

I have been seeing lots of bathrooms on Pinterest etc with completely smooth concrete-looking walls.

It seems that this is something called microcrete/microcement or sometimes beton cire. However, I am really struggling to find a tradesman experienced in using it - particularly for bathrooms/walk-in showers.

If you have this (particularly in your bathroom) who did you get to do it? A plasterer? A resin flooring company?

Alternatively, have any of you achieved this seamless effect with tiles? If so, which tiles did you use.

TIA

We are actually doing this ourselves in our kitchen at the moment (we have white microcement on the wall + worktop) we used concretelab.co.uk/ DIY kits - maybe if you contact them they may have some contractors/contacts that they deliver to that they can recommend.

A plasterer should be able to do this - it's very easy to work with.

I can send you some progress photos via PM if you like!

@BuildingThings thank you so much for sharing that website. I’d love to see some photos too.

I think my main concern making it watertight where the wall meets the floor, so the resin mesh on that website looks great! I suppose that would be similar to your where your walls and worktops meet.
