Hello
We’re looking for a small kitchen dining table no bigger than 60cm wide and preferable not square. Need to be slim for our small kitchen area with 2 chairs to. E tucked under. Been looking online but not seen anything suitable. Any ideas please?

If you like mid-century modern, a vintage Ercol Plank Drop-leaf table is only 65cm x 75cm. Number 838 listed here:

That was the narrowest, flexible table we found when we looked (they come up on ebay) as it can extend from 2-4.

Otherwise, if you search for '60cm small bistro table' in google, a few results come up e.g.

Thank you @cunningplan101, I like the Ercol which is expensive, the other one is round and don’t want round but thank you will take another look searching for bistro 😊

Get a length of wooden kitchen worktop and buy legs separately. www.worktop-express.co.uk/information_guides/using-solid-wood-worktops-for-dining-tables/

Look on eBay for table bases or legs Eg hairpin legs

You could get a length of desk top or worktop from Ikea and sepatare legs (office dept). We had one of these for our dining table for years.

Get some plywood cut to size and get those legs you screw on. A bit of sanding to make it look nice and paint or lacquer to protect the wood. I saw this done very effectively on the make my house fabulous or whatever it was called programme.

Is this the sort of thing you meant? www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/hilver-table-bamboo-s79046038/

Do you mean 60cm wide for two people to face each other or to go against the wall and sit side by side?

Anyway Ikea are great for all kinds of space saving things.

We have this table from an Etsy sellers which comes in various sizes, ours is 60cm wide. We have a bench on one side & chairs on the other. We like it a lot.

Thank you all for your ideas, much appreciated, we want one which is 60cm wife and narrower the other side. We’ll probably need to make one

So something smaller than a 60x60 square? I would have called that 60cm long.

Yes I think you will probably have to make something but the worktop and table bases thing should still work. Or fixing something to the wall.

If DIYing you might have more luck looking at breakfast bar ideas. They can always be done at a lower height with shorter stools to make it a dining area instead. Some ideas here: www.pinterest.com/amp/pin/39899146684563570/

Scaffold planks are 225mm wide and very cheap. There are loads of people on eBay selling "rustic" shelves and tables made with them. If you contact them direct and ask for a 60cm long x 2 plank widths wide custom table, they may well knock one up for you for a lot less than you'd think. If that's a style you like of course.
