Hello all, we are selling a flat and wondering if we should go ahead and get an electrician to do an EICR or shall we wait and see what the purchaser and their solicitor request?
They have had a survey done and we are waiting to hear if any issues but they are cash buyers so it wouldn’t be a requirement for a mortgage. Would you go ahead so as to avoid delays or wait until the request it ( and presumably also pay for it)?
If anyone has sold recently and hasn’t been asked for electrical testing I would be interested to hear from you!
