I am very curious on what basis kitchen suppliers price their products.
Apparently the full price of Magnet's Integra Soho for 6 sq meters kitchen is £~16K for kitchen units only. They offer 50% discount so it will be ~£8K.
John Lewis of Hungerford's full price for the same kitchen units is ~£12K. With 15% discount it comes down to ~£10K.
The quality of Magnet's kitchens looks very similar to Howdens.
I am not an expert and maybe I am wrong but John Lewis of Hungerford's kitchens look much better than Magnet or Howdens.
I went to see Magnet's because they have much better choice of colours comparing to Howdens, Benchmarx etc.

Also I was thinking of true handleless kitchen but the rails make the kitchen unsafe for a toddler.

It doesn't matter what the discount is. It's what you pay for what quality. Look at DIY kitchens, an online company, too.

Kitchens are a racket. You could possibly say that in some places the prices reflect style/design/one stop service.
DIY kitchens are as good quality as you will get for a standard UK type chipboard unit kitchen, but you have to design it yourself (or employ own designer). A lot of local/independent companies buy in similar units but handle the design/installation too.

I believe Magnet, Howdens at al have poorer quality, a huge mark up and manipulate prices with sales and discounts. But they are easy to use and builders like them as they are part of large timbrr/joinery companies.

John Lewis of Hungerford are pretty well bespoke aren't they? I'm surprised they come in so cheap. They were one of the original painted Shaker kitchen companies that the chipboard guys have copied over the years.

DIY kitchens do a wide range on units, including standard chipboard and timber frames. It depends what style you go for. I researched a lot of options and I've chosen to go with DIY.

My friend had a new kitchen 5 years ago from Magnet and it still looks pristine. PIL had a Howdens one which also still looks good. I think you can almost pay as much as you want for a kitchen, but they are both somewhere in the middle. JL's look ok too, but they are very pricey.

My kitchen got 5 base units, 5 tall wall cabinets and a tall pantry so quite small kitchen.
I have got DIY Kitchens' door samples and the quality of paining is better than Magnet or Howdens.
The prices I mentioned do not appliances and installation.
I expected the prices reflect the quality so really surprised Magnet prices themselves higher than JLoH.

We have just received our kitchen from DIY Kitchens. I am astonished at the quality of construction for the money. It knocks spots off Howdens in my opinion.

Will DIY Kitchens install the units for you?

My DIY Kitchens delivery is arriving at the w/e.

I went to their showroom in Pontefract and was really impressed with the style and colour choices. We’re having 4 base units, 5 wall units, 1 tall unit, worktops and handles supplied which came to around £3K. We’ve found our own fitters which is £1500. Plus appliances etc, sink, tiles etc

We’ve also had to have the kitchen re wired and a new consumer unit fitted! (Discovered after removing the base units).

I’m really excited - been planning and saving for 3 years.
