Rug non slip

I am trying to work out what sort of rug could go just inside our front door to protect our carpet. My biggest problem is for it to not slip. I have tried a heavy plastic back rug, have tried grippers, tried that fabric sticky stuff that you lay under the rug (a few types)....nothing works. I need a rug or solution to stop a rug moving!

Have you tried Velcro ? you can buy lage squares ( about 6 inch sq) that is very self adhesive sick it to the floor and to the under side of your rug .
I have never tried it on fabric , so even though it is very sticky you may want to put a few stitchs in to hold it in place.

The last place I bought it from was clas olson but my local one shut down last year ( I miss that shop )

Thank you - that might work! I would need to stick one side to carpet.
