Sourcing materials for bathroom reno

Lovely Mumsnetters, please can you give me your recommendations of where to source quality fittings for a bathroom reno that won't break the bank? Will need everything - tiles, sink, taps, shower, etc etc

An independent, preferably local, firm. They do not like complaints
as more costly for them so more likely to do a good job than a faceless large company.
Do not scrimp pay a bit more to get something decent.

I'm looking for this too and my builder recommends a local supplier. So it's same advice as @Justpassingtime1 gave above. I know people who used them in the past and they're raving about it but for me it's potentially too expensive. Not decided yet, need to add all the numbers up.

I’ve bought from Victoria Plum and Victorian Plumbing several times. Pick the good brands like Mira, Aqualisa, Ideal Standard etc and tiles with lots of good reviews and it’s decent stuff.

Have always then used independent fitters and never had them criticise the materials. Have heard them turn the air blue over anything from B&Q and Bathstore though!

@ComtesseDeSpair - thank you!!
