Underpriced house

We went on the market exactly a week ago. Traditionally the type of house that takes a while to sell and when we bought it had been on the market for 9 months. We were inundated with viewers and have had four offers, including one 3k over asking price. Does that mean we underpriced the house, or have we got it about right?

I think you priced it right for attracting a lot of interest, getting some competition going and getting over the asking price for it.

If you have multiple offers maybe you should go to best and final. Some agents price things a little under market value for just this purpose. Beware if the buyers are getting a mortgage it still has to compare with other sold prices in the area.

We have already had a bidding war so I suspect everyone is at the top of what they can afford but it's worth a try.

Perhaps what they can afford but maybe the max they’re willing to pay. We’ve been outbid in the last couple of years with people going 100k+ over asking. But I have also seen best and final with no one offering anywhere near the asking price.
