Splashback - curved rim around top of bathroom sink

Hi,

I’m new to this section but wondered if anyone could help me? We moved into a house 8 years ago with bathroom sink which has curved rim around the top. It has no splashback and I’m fed up of the paintwork being constantly damaged, marked and peeling. It looks a mess.

I’ve looked everywhere online to see how you approach a curved sink but there seems no easy way. It’s not possible to tile behind sink as it’s flush with the wall. Friend has suggested using mosaic tiles and following the curve but I can’t see how this would work. Would it be neat or just look off?

Any advice greatly appreciated, and thank you!

Yes you can tile behind or use a glass wall panel which would be cut from a template to match the curve.
