Can you paint the inside of a shed?

We're sorting out getting a new shed & the company we're buying from can paint the panels for us.

I was wondering whether you can also paint the inside too- will this help preserve it any more or is it a waste of time?

It will look prettier, but wont preserve it any longer.

We painted the inside of our garage blue. It looks really nice, but its just for looks really

I painted mine myself with cuprinol (Jasmine) , it makes it much brighter and cleaner looking.
