About £4K? Are two of the upstairs rooms bathrooms?

dogdaysofsummer · 25/08/2020 19:21

We paid about 6k if I recall, 4 bedrooms

HasaDigaEebowai · 25/08/2020 19:24

I'd guesstimate about £6k based on the quote we've had for ours for a larger house.

MrsBartlet · 25/08/2020 19:25

We paid £6k about 2 years ago for same size of house.

loopyloo12 · 25/08/2020 19:28

Is it just a new boiler or boiler as well as new pipe work?

FATEdestiny · 25/08/2020 19:29

We paid £2.8k in Fed 2020.

4 bed house plus study (so 4.5 bed really). Worcester boiler. Not a combi boiler, one using existing hot water tank. New hive thermostats/timer/app

I'm in Nottingham.

NancyJoan · 25/08/2020 19:30

£4-5k, depending on where you are.

TriSkiRun99 · 25/08/2020 19:36

We had a quote for £2.5k using existing pipework and rads. Same size house.

Zebrahooves · 25/08/2020 19:42

I was quoted £5 - 6k for similar.

LBOCS2 · 25/08/2020 19:42

Just the boiler or a new system? We paid £5k including rads for a whole new unvented system in our 5 bed last year.

kerkyra · 25/08/2020 19:45

My new condenser boiler last month cost £950 and that included labour. Three bed terrace

CottonSock · 25/08/2020 19:46

2k i would expect, but mine was last replaced a few (6) years ago. I'm pretty sure it was less than this.

kerkyra · 25/08/2020 19:46

Sorry,combi boiler!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 25/08/2020 19:49

I paid £2000 two years ago for a decent quality one, that's just boiler not pipes/radiators. I'm in the North West of England. Suppose it depends where you live.

carly2803 · 25/08/2020 19:50

between 3-6k

depends who you get to quote!

zaffa · 25/08/2020 20:06

Oh yes valid questions! Is this a like for like swap? Are they doing any other work at the same time?

ComtesseDeSpair · 25/08/2020 20:16

I just had mine installed for £2,800 - but that included moving it to another location which was an extra cost.

British Gas wanted to charge me over £6,000 for the same.

ComtesseDeSpair · 25/08/2020 20:19

And I absolutely do not work for this company, but think they deserve a recommendation. I got mine - a Viessmann Vitodens, they compete with Worcester in terms of quality and reliability - through iHeat.co.uk. They were excellent and the engineer was a brilliant guy.

whenwillthemadnessend · 25/08/2020 20:27

I'm paying £3300 from British Gas. Straight replacement top of range boiler from a 23 year old boiler. Including Full flush. Electrics.

Stella8686 · 25/08/2020 20:29

Boiler itself 2-3k fitting plus removal of old boiler 2k so 4-5k

Pinksmyfavoritecolour · 25/08/2020 20:52

£5-£6k

jennymac31 · 25/08/2020 20:56

£3k-£4k but this was almost 6 years ago.

LulworthBlues · 25/08/2020 20:57

About £5000

BikeRunSki · 25/08/2020 21:00

Is your quote from British Gas by any chance? Our house is smaller then yours, but their quote was more than twice what a local Worcester Bosch approved installer quoted (and delivered), along with a bit of pipework and thermostatic valves on all our radiators.

Arnoldthecat · 25/08/2020 21:06

The key issue is your hot water demand. How many bathrooms/baths/showers? What are your showering aspirations? do you want a powerful shower or an average shower? what make/model is the existing boiler? will the new boiler go in the same position?
