Hi. We are quite early in the process of buying / selling and are thinking of getting a survey booked for our new place. There seems to be high demand for this at the moment and not a lot of availability. I am not sure what kind of survey to go for. It is a town house that's only 5 years old and apparently still has a 5 year guarantee, although not sure exactly what that covers yet. I guess a homebuyer survey would be the sensible option? We had a full structural survey done when we bought our current home, but that was a much older property that needed quite a bit of work. Wondering what others have done in a similar situation.
