D C Fix on kitchen worktops

Has anyone applied DC Fix to their kitchen worktops and what do you think of it? Does it look good or quite fake?

I know there are YouTube videos but how did you find it to apply? I am quite daunted about applying this around the gas hob and sink and making a mess of it.

I've done it twice. Once on my own and recently for my DIL.

It's not difficult to apply, try and cut down to more manageable sizes and absolutely buy the fitting kit for the smoothing tool. Sink you cut an x in the right spot but again if you measure twice you can cut it to a rough template anyway.

I will say it's not brilliant. A hot plate will mark it, a knife will leave a scratch and edges do peel up even after using a hair dryer to stick and stretch. In the end I replaced our worktops with lengths from homebase that ended up costing me £250 with fitting by a mate. Looks so much better.
