Log cabin

We're looking for a log cabin, with a target price of less than £5,000, for use initially for working from home. If you have a log cabin (or a low-cost garden office), can you recommend it? Our main concerns are build quality, comfort and customer service.

I wanted to replace a tired out shed and have a general clear-out last year. I originally was going to get another shed but whilst searching for new ones saw cabins and garden offices so got interested.
I finally got a log cabin from Dunster House after looking at different options/companies. One of the best buys I've ever made Grin It's like having another room without having to extend the house.
It's the Coronet (they do many other types/shapes) which is a 3m x 3m unit with one corner 'cut off' where the doors are.they have sites nationally where you can view built cabins. Went for the thicker logs (45mm rather than standard 28mm) which meant double glazed windows and doors (double doors). Roof and underfloor insulation and roofing shingles. All in, including delivery (by two men so would be carried up to 50m from lorry rather than drop kerbside - took them over an hour)was just over £2500. Their installation was quite expensive though. Was just under £2k but the installation company require 1.5m around the cabin which was 3m I didn't have.

Built it myself and took a long weekend from initial bearer being laid on Friday afternoon to sitting in it having a drink on Monday.

Well worth every single penny to me. been great during lockdown.

We have exactly this from this supplier, would definitely recommend. It's been a godsend during lockdown. I know it's it's a bit of a poor woman's version of an extension but we had space in the garden and a small budget.

We installed a 5m x 2.5m one from Tuin ourselves 2 years ago and use it as a 'den' with a futon, second tv, Xbox, exercise bike. It was around 2.5k.
We have just cleared a bit of garden right at the back and found some old foundations with the remains of a wall, so we are planning to put another similar one up next year as a home office/study.
