Has anyone got Skimming Stone in their house they’re happy to share a pic of? :)

I’m planning to use it for our whole freshly plastered house!

Hmm I used it all through my previous home and loved it....still love it now but it doesn’t work in this house we have now. It’s a great neutral and I found I could pair most colours with it. Not sure I have any photos but will have a search...

Try looking on Pinterest - bound to be plenty of photos there.

If you look on the Farrow and Ball website there are examples of every colour that people have uploaded

Thanks I’ll check the F&B website as haven’t looked on there but I thought ‘real home’ type pics would be better than staged and lit ones from Pinterest etc.

I’ve painted a sample on a piece of paper and stuck it up in all the rooms and I’m not convinced but have already ordered one tin Blush

You need to look at it all times of the day as F&B paints change so much in different lights - currently testing a huge patch of Peignoir on my living room wall, it’s looked lilac, grey and beige in the last 24 hours!

I’ve just had my bedroom painted in this. It’s a north facing room with large fitted wardrobes in a colour close to Elephants Breath. I’m waiting for the carpets to go down next week so can’t post a pic, but it’s reading as quite a warm grey with almost pink undertones in there. I need to spend more time in the room before deciding how I feel about it....

It could be ok throughout a house, but I suppose it depends on the colours of your sofas and kitchen etc. Personally I’d need something a bit cooler toned. We have just used Cornforth white for the second time downstairs, and love it. Perhaps a bit dark for use around the whole house though.

Thanks both.

There’s no doubt it’s a beautiful colour. In the tin it looks white but now the samples are up I’m thinking to myself is it light enough for the whole house. I have a sample tin of ammonite here too which I originally felt was too grey but I’m going to do the same again and do a sample on paper in each room to see what it’s like.

Choosing colours is an absolute nightmare and I told myself I wasn’t going to make a meal of it this time. Already have by the looks of it!
