Problems putting blind up

My darling nephew has just pulled our blind off the wall. It's the second time he's done this, so there are lots of holes in plasterboard from when I bodged re-erecting the blind when he broke it off the wall the first time. It is a plasterboard wall which is shallow (not much depth before you hit what I assume to be the lintel).

Due to the fact that there are already holes where I need to re-erect fixings, how can I get blind back up? Would it help yo put a wooden batten up to put fixings on?

Hollow plasterboard walls are very tricky! Any advice greatly appreciated.

My husband often puts wooden batten up when fixing curtain poles - especially if not onto a solid wall, imagine this is the same.

You can also buy specific plasterboard rawl plugs that spread out and are more secure. Technical description I know!

Thanks Tulip.
