What was on the wall before you painted?
Was it washed down with sugar soap?
What paint has just been put on?
How long between coats?

Mumr19 · 07/08/2020 12:11

@Bsc8180 it was just cream colour , yes and crown Matt vinyl emulsion , it's on my walls in my livingroom and that hasn't happened here and 4 hours as recommended, but last night I left it over night

Looks like uneven application of the paint.
Was it diluted?
Was it rolled on?

Mumr19 · 07/08/2020 12:20

@Bsc8180 it was already made paint and yes rolled on

it seems to be darker along the bottom half and to the right. Is that correct? Or is that just shaded light?

how old is the house?

Was there previously furniture along the wall?

Have you got the windows open to speed drying?

PigletJohn · 07/08/2020 12:25

oh it's your bedroom.

what is on the other side of that wall?

Not a bathroom?

Mumr19 · 07/08/2020 12:37

@PigletJohn hi no the behind that wall is another house, on the left of the photo that's the wall next to bathroom so not the one I've applied paint too

Aside from the patchyness its a lovely colour! What is it? I recently ended up doing 5 coats on paint. Almost lost the will to live. Used the same brand different colour. No problems 2 coats. Ahhhh got to love DIY

GuyFawkesDay · 07/08/2020 12:41

Did you stir your paint?

Mumr19 · 07/08/2020 13:56

@GuyFawkesDay yes I did. I think I'm going to just paint all walls white and the ceilings and then going to buy dulux paint (grey) it's just getting worse.
