We have a wall hung. No problems at all. It’s easy to clean around. It’s also got the soft close feature so the lid doesn’t slam down.

RedStreetMonument · 07/08/2020 08:28

We've had them for years, really easy to clean around, love them!

PragmaticWench · 07/08/2020 08:37

Much easier to clean, very solid.

PoppedTheHipAgain · 07/08/2020 08:43

Are wall hung loos OK for heavier people? I can just imagine sitting my 18st butt on one and it coming off the wall.

Bsc8180 · 07/08/2020 09:20

Yes get wall hung so much easier to clean. Do use one of the frames from geberit or grohe to hang it from.
18st is not an issue.

BarkingHat · 07/08/2020 09:45

Oh OK? Doesn't cause a problem if they need repaired then? I imagined all the tiles having to come off....

If you use one of the geberit or grohe frames, the flush panel comes off and all the insides are designed to be serviceable via that opening.
There are loads of videos on youtube and their websites about fitting and servicing.
I cant comment on other brands.

areallthenamesusedup · 07/08/2020 14:00

So much easier to clean. I would NEVER have a pedestal ever again, if possible.
Weight not an issue.

kingdomcapers · 08/08/2020 09:21

Does no one else with wall hung toilets find they are horrendous for skid marks? I hate the way mine curves in more steeply and basically has a shelf to catch poo before it hits the water. I really regret getting th

ivfdreaming · 08/08/2020 09:23

I like mine as can clean underneath more easily BUT make sure the hidden cistern is accessible for maintenance

I have a wall hung basin too but wish I hadn't got it and got one with a cupboard beneath for storage

kingdomcapers · 08/08/2020 09:24

Posted too soon. Really regret getting them fitted, yes the floor is easy to clean but the constant shit scrubbing negates that. Ours are about 5 years old now and all need something done to the cistern as they often run constantly after flushing (a good kick stops them until I can find a plumber)

CatherinedeBourgh · 08/08/2020 09:27

I have a couple, and a couple of pedestal.

Have to say don’t find them that much easier to clean around. They’re OK, but not worth the extra bother if you have the room for a normal one.

Trashtara · 08/08/2020 09:28

What is the weight limit on them? We went for a pedestal because MIL is 23stone.

sbplanet · 08/08/2020 19:52

Nervous now about the bad reviews. Got a plumber coming back on Monday to do a proper quote - do I stick with wall hung and rimless?
